This beautiful Victorian townhouse, originally built for a prominent Newfoundland merchant family in the late 1800s, was refurbished in the early 1990s and converted to a Bed & Breakfast. Guests will enjoy excellent views of the Atlantic and an extensive collection of Newfoundland art displayed throughout the B&B. Amenities include a piping hot complimentary breakfast (full breakfast from May 15 - September 30), private off-street parking, sitting rooms, and high-speed Internet access in the bedrooms. Most rooms at Gower House are quite large (in excess of 200 square feet) with the primary focus being comfort and convenience. Each has air conditioning, high-speed Internet access, color cable televisions, fax and modem outlets, telephones, and alarm clock radios. Some units have whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Standard rooms have shared bathrooms, and Standard Plus rooms have private bathrooms.
